EatPlanet Privacy Policy

Planetdot Innovations Ltd (“we”, “us”) operates the EatPlanet app (the “App”). This policy explains what information the App uses, what leaves your device, and the choices you have. In short: your profile and your Cravings tools data stay on your phone. EatPlanet has no user accounts and no server of ours that holds your profile.

1. Information that stays on your device

When you set up EatPlanet you may enter details used to build your meal plan: age, sex, height and weight, activity level, diet, weight or wellbeing goal, city, cuisine preferences, ingredients to avoid, a weekly budget, your name and your household members. The Cravings tab stores, on your device only: urge-timer sessions, daily check-ins, journal notes, trigger foods, your hardest time of day, your calm-day calendar, game and challenge progress, and your Gentle mode setting. Optional meal photos you save also stay on your device.

We do not receive, see or store any of this on a server we run, and it is not shared with us or with other companies. Deleting the App deletes it. EatPlanet does not back this data up or sync it between devices.

2. Information that leaves your device

A small amount of information is sent to other services so that the App can work:

• Your city, for grocery prices. To estimate costs, the App sends the city you entered to price sources: Open Food Facts (worldwide), the Kroger API (United States; your city is first turned into approximate coordinates on your device) and price services run through Apify for the United Kingdom, Canada (an approximate postal code is looked up from your city) and a few other supported countries. These requests are not combined with your name, age, goals or any other profile field.
• Recipe photos. Recipe photos are downloaded from our image storage, so the host of that storage can see your IP address and which photo was requested.
• Measurement and analytics (AppsFlyer and Apple SKAdNetwork). A device identifier and simple events are sent to AppsFlyer, our measurement provider: which onboarding screens were viewed, the general goal chosen at the start (for example a general goal or a cravings-related goal), whether Gentle mode was switched on, household size, your food-spending level, and paywall, offer and purchase events. We never send your name, age, weight, journal notes, check-ins, meal photos or other profile and Cravings content. Apple’s SKAdNetwork also sends a privacy-preserving conversion signal to the advertising platform that showed you an ad.
• Subscriptions (RevenueCat). RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase information and your IP address to confirm your subscription.

App Tracking Transparency: iOS asks whether the App may track you across other companies’ apps and websites. If you decline, the App does not access your advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

3. Subscriptions and offers

EatPlanet is free to download. A weekly or yearly subscription is required to use the premium features. Payments and any offer-code redemption are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your card number, payment details or Apple ID. Apple’s own privacy policy applies to billing.

4. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App schedules reminders on your device, for example plan reminders and occasional reminders about subscription offers. They are created locally on your phone; our servers do not send them and we do not learn whether you received them. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Cravings tools and your wellbeing

The Cravings tools are a self-help feature for adults and are not medical treatment. Your entries stay on your device. The App links to findahelpline.com so you can find a helpline in your country; that link opens a website we do not control, and nothing from the App is sent with it. If you are struggling with eating, please talk to a doctor or a helpline.

6. Data from Apple’s App Store

Apple may share limited, aggregated and anonymised information with us through App Store Connect, such as subscription and usage analytics. We use it only to understand overall app performance, not to identify individuals.

7. Children

EatPlanet is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and the Cravings tools are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will deal with it.

8. Your choices and rights

• Edit or delete: you can change your profile in the App at any time and delete journal entries and saved meal photos in the App.
• Delete everything: uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device.
• Tracking and ads: you can decline the tracking prompt, change your choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or limit ad identifiers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
• Requests (including under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or similar laws): email contact@planetovation.com. Because we hold no server-side profile data about you, most requests are already met by the controls above, but we will gladly help.

9. Security

Your profile and Cravings data are not sent to us, so they are not exposed to the risks of a central database. Information sent to the third-party services in section 2 travels over encrypted HTTPS connections.

10. Not medical advice

EatPlanet provides general wellness and meal-planning information. Cost and savings figures are estimates. It is not medical advice or a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. Check with a doctor or registered dietitian before making big changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will appear here before they take effect.
